Kim Kardashian Wants Taylor Swift To 'Move On' From Feud After Dropping Diss Track: Report
Kim Kardashian hasn't responded to Taylor Swift's diss track because she is over their feud, according to a source.
Swift reignited the feud between her and Kardashian when she dropped her new album "The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology." The album included the track "Thank you aIMee," where the pop star sings about bullying, and due to the capitalization of the three letters in the title, which reads "KIM," many believe it's a dig at the "Kardashians" star.
"All that time you were throwin' punches, I was buildin' somethin' / And I can't forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed 'F--- you, Aimee' to the night sky, as the blood was gushin'/ But I can't forget the way you made me heal," Swift sings in the chorus.
An unnamed source told People of Kardashian's alleged response to the song. The 43-year-old SKIMS founder reportedly wants the singer to get over the issue.
"She's over it and thinks Taylor should move on," the source said.
The reality star and celebrity mom reportedly "doesn't get why [Swift] keeps harping on it" when "it's been literally years."
Travis Kelce's girlfriend also seemingly hinted that the song was for someone else and not Aimee, admitting that "I changed your name" to remove "any real defining clues."
Swift adds in the song, "And one day, your kid comes home singin' / A song that only us two is gonna know is about you."
The feud between Swift and Kardashian started in 2016 when Kanye West mentioned Swift in his song "Famous." In the lyrics, he mentioned the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker and called her a "b***h."
"I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex /. Why? I made that b***h famous," read the line mentioning the pop superstar.
Swift quickly reacted through her spokesperson, saying she wasn't made aware of the actual lyrics despite West calling her about the song ahead of its release. Kardashian defended her ex-husband and released an edited footage of the phone call. A full video of the call later leaked, revealing that West did not mention the lyric "I made that b***h famous" to Swift.
"Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single 'Famous' on her Twitter account," Swift's spokesperson told People at the time. "She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, 'I made that b***h famous.'"
The line alluded to the 2009 MTV VMAs when Swift won the Best Female Video award for "You Belong With Me," and West interrupted her acceptance speech onstage.
"Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish. But Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!" West said after grabbing the mic from Swift.
Swift was only 19 at the time and appeared visibly shocked. Amid the commotion, the camera cut to Beyoncé, who was equally stunned while mouthing the words, "Oh, Kanye," Billboard reported.
