Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz Dating? 'They've Been Hanging Out A Lot Lately': Report
Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz sparked dating rumors after being friends for years, according to a report.
Carey, 55, and Kravitz, 59, both music legends, have reportedly spent time together lately, and many are hoping that this will lead to them becoming a couple.
"There's definitely chemistry between them," an unnamed source told Life & Style. "They're both single, and they've been hanging out a lot lately."
According to the outlet, the "Fly Away" singer recently shared that he used to frequent the New York City sports bar where the "Hero" singer worked when they were still aspiring musicians. They would compare demos and crossed paths.
Both attended the Recording Academy Honors in February, where they collected awards. The two have also been nominated for the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.
"They bonded over both being nominated," the insider continued, noting that Kravitz "always admired Mariah." He reportedly developed a crush on her while working together on the 2009 indie film "Precious." However, she was married to Nick Cannon at the time.
"They've been super close over the years, and they have a lot in common, so it's not surprising that they could have taken their friendship to the next level," the source added. "Everyone who knows them personally in the music industry is buzzing about it -- and wants it to be true!"
In November 2023, Kravitz opened up about his first studio album, industry struggles and the infidelity "curse" that his father, Sy Kravitz, put on him with Esquire. His dad reportedly declared that he would cheat on women as he cheated on Kravitz's mother, Roxie Roker.
"I won't lie to you, being confident that this is the person for me, always thinking something else may be better... It was hardcore," Kravitz told the magazine.

He was previously married to Lisa Bonet from 1978 to 1993. Kravitz briefly dated Kylie Minogue in 1991 and French actress Vanessa Paradis in 1997. Their romance lasted for five years.
The rocker was also romantically linked to Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima from 2002 to 2003. In 2017, Nicole Kidman surprised many when she shared that she once got engaged to Kravitz as they kept their relationship under wraps, per Entertainment Tonight.
When it comes to getting married again, Kravitz admitted that he's still hoping to settle down in the future.
"The desire has always been there," he said. "The tools in which to do so have not always been there... I've grown enough. I've become stronger. I've become more disciplined. I've become more open to be able to do so. But it's been a very difficult thing for me to figure out."
