4 Celebrities Who Are Not As Close To Meghan Markle As She Claims
Meghan Markle has a tight friendship with a number of celebrities, but she isn't as close to some as she claims, according to a report.
The Duchess of Sussex previously hinted at her connection with some personalities who didn't reciprocate her assumptions. Here are four celebrities who seemingly denied being close to Prince Harry's wife, per the Daily Mail.
Sophie Trudeau
The former "Suits" actress previously said that Justin Trudeau's ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, was a "dear friend." However, it seems that the feeling isn't mutual as Sophie doesn't think the same way about Markle.
When the former first lady of Canada was asked about Markle, Sophie seemingly hinted that they were just acquaintances.
"I know her... but we haven't spent much time together," she told The Times.

Daily Mail noted that Sophie's response was a stark contrast to how Markle described her as an "emblematic of strength."
In an episode of Markle's "Archetypes" podcast, she said that Sophie "used to send her little meditations during her pregnancy and voice notes of encouragement."
"I've gone to her over the years for advice," Markle added.
Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claimed in their book "Finding Freedom" that Markle and Sophie "became fast email friends." The royal mom of two was reportedly "interested to hear how Sophie had successfully made the move from an entertainment news correspondent to much-loved First Lady, all while skillfully dodging controversy."
George and Amal Clooney
George and Amal Clooney were among the Hollywood personalities invited to Prince Harry and Markle's royal wedding in 2018. However, the actor and barrister reportedly didn't know the bride and groom moments before they walked down the aisle at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.
Rachel Johnson, a columnist for AIR MAIL, claimed in a 2020 report that despite Clooney being given a "prime pew" at the 2018 royal wedding next to Lady Carolyn Warren, who is married to John Warren, the late Queen's bloodstock adviser, they didn't personally know the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
"There's a story doing the rounds that while Carolyn Bartholomew, Diana's former flatmate, was waiting for the wedding service to start, she turned to the couple alongside her and asked how they knew Harry or Meghan," Johnson reported. "We don't,' the Clooneys answered brightly."
However, there were conflicting reports about Prince Harry and Markle's friendship with the Clooneys. In the book "Finding Freedom," the author claimed that George and Amal hosted the Sussexes on at least two occasions at their British home in Sonning, Oxfordshire.
The Clooneys also reportedly invited the Sussexes to Lake Como weeks after the royal wedding. They flew on George's private jet.
"Meghan and Amal spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool and playing with the twins while George and Harry checked out George's motorbike collection. Harry took one of them out with one of his protection officers. George recently had an accident, so he wasn't back on his bike yet," an unnamed source said about the three-day visit.
Sarah Ferguson
Last year, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice's mom, Sarah Ferguson, also seemingly distanced herself from Markle. In an interview with The Telegraph, the Duchess of York said she "hasn't really met" Markle. However, Ferguson said she spoke to Markle at Queen Elizabeth's funeral in September 2022.
"She looked absolutely beautiful. I think she is beautiful," Ferguson said of Markle.
The Sussexes claimed in their interview with Oprah Winfrey that it was Ferguson who taught Markle to "curtsy" to the Queen. Prince Harry doubled down on the claim in his memoir "Spare."
"I didn't know I was going to meet her [Queen Elizabeth] until moments before. We were in the car, and we were going to the Royal Lodge for lunch, and he [Harry] was like, 'Oh, my grandmother is here, she's gonna be there after church,'" Markle recounted in her interview with Winfrey.
"Right in front of the house, we practiced and ran in. Fergie ran out and said, 'Do you know how to curtsy?' Apparently, I did a very deep curtsy, I don't remember it, and then we sat there and we chatted."
Prince Harry also recounted Markle's meeting with Ferguson in his book and how the Duchess of York reportedly taught Markle to curtsy shortly before she met Her Majesty.
"Fergie came outside, somewhat aflutter, and said: 'Do you know how to curtsy?' Meg shook her head. Fergie demonstrated once. Meg imitated her," Prince Harry wrote.
"As we walked towards the door, Fergie and I both leaned into Meg, whispering quick reminders. When you first meet the Queen, it's Your Majesty. Thereafter, it's just Ma'am. Rhymes with ham. Just, whatever you do, don't talk over her, we both said, talking over each other."
