Trump Talked About Melania With Stormy Daniels On First Day Of Their Meeting
Donald Trump brought up his then-newlywed wife Melania Trump during a conversation with Stormy Daniels before they allegedly had sex in 2006, according to the porn star's courtroom testimony.
In a Manhattan courtroom Tuesday, Daniels took the witness stand in the former president's criminal hush money trial to testify about their alleged 2006 sexual encounter.
She told the court that before they allegedly had consensual sex in a hotel room, Trump claimed to her that he didn't "sleep in the same room" as Melania, CNN reported.
Trump has repeatedly denied he had an affair with Daniels, which allegedly took place just a year after he married Melania and four months after they welcomed their only child together, Barron Trump.
Daniels told jurors she met Trump at the American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, in July 2006.
She was at the event because Wicked Pictures, the adult film studio she worked for at the time, had set up a booth.
Then 27, Daniels described having a brief conversation with Trump when his group passed by.

According to the adult film star, Trump approached her later during the tournament, remembered her as "the smart one," and asked if she would have dinner with him.
Daniels recalled her then-publicist encouraging her to agree to Trump's invitation, suggesting it would "make a great story" and possibly boost her career, according to the Associated Press.
After saying yes to Trump, Daniels testified that she went to his suite, where they talked for over an hour
Daniels told jurors that during their conversation, Trump showed her a picture of Melania and told her not to "worry about that."
"We don't sleep in the same room," Trump added, according to Daniels.
Daniels said she didn't feel physically or verbally threatened at any point during her encounter with Trump, though she wanted to leave right away after the alleged act.
Daniels testified that Trump said, "Oh, it was great. Let's get together again, honey bunch," after it allegedly ended.
She also said that Trump told her she could appear on "Celebrity Apprentice."
The adult film star told the court that she met up with Trump again after that night and had frequent conversations with him over the phone.
Daniels is a central figure in Trump's criminal trial, where he faces 34 felony counts of falsified business records.
Trump's charges stem from his reimbursements to his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen, who paid Daniels $130,000 before the 2016 election in exchange for not disclosing her story involving the then-presidential candidate.
Prosecutors alleged that Trump's payments to Cohen were reimbursements for the "hush money."
But Trump's attorneys argued that the payments were for Cohen's legal fees.
Daniels is set to return to the stand Thursday.
