Jennifer Lopez Admits She’s ‘The Thinnest’ She’s Ever Been Now
Jennifer Lopez got candid about her current body shape during an interview on a morning talk show.
During her guest appearance on Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' "Live with Kelly and Mark," the hosts asked her if she had started rehearsing for her tour and if she was pre-exhausted. The Queen of Dance told them that she had just finished filming the movie adaptation of the 1993 musical "Kiss of the Spider Woman," helmed by Bill Condon, so she's ready for anything.
"Well, I just finished a movie called 'Kiss of the Spider Woman' where it was all singing and dancing, which was equal parts exhilarating and exhausting. Now, I'm ready to go. I'm the thinnest I've ever been. I'm in fighting shape right now," she said.
Kelly asked about her diet and exercise plan once she kicks off her "This Is Me... Now" tour in June.
"It's just moving. It's moving your body constantly. It's traveling. It's traveling. It's doing two hours of exertion every night. It's a time when I get like in a really good kind of healthy shape," Lopez shared.
Talking more about her preparations for the tour, the "Let's Get Loud" artist shared that she is planning everything to make her shows exciting.
"I've been mapping it out and working on the set list and everything. I always like making a very exciting show," she said before adding, "I don't want a fan to think, 'Oh, this is the part of the show where I can go get [a] soda.'"
J.Lo's "This Is Me... Now" tour will officially begin on June 26 in Orlando and end on Aug. 17 in New York.
She will perform a total of 30 shows across Florida, Texas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Colorado, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Canada, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C.
Meanwhile, other details about her upcoming film "Kiss of the Spider Woman" are yet to be released.
Based on the original musical's plot, it will follow the story of a gay man named Luis Molina who gets sent to prison in Argentina. Inside the prison, Luis creates a fantasy woman named Aurora (Lopez) as his means to escape the trauma behind bars.
Luis then invents movies starring Aurora as a classic silver screen star, including one that stars her as a spider woman "who kills her prey with a kiss," according to Screen Daily.
