XXXTentacion's pal and star of the rapper's "Look at Me!" cover art Zachary Stoddard will serve a decade behind bars for stabbing a teen.

Stoddard, 21, was sentenced last week to 10 years in prison for the attempted murder of a then-fellow teenager named Keith Tatton in 2019, XXL reported, citing the Broward State Attorney's Office.

The prison sentence will be followed by two years of house arrest and three years of probation.

The sentence came after Stoddard pleaded no contest to charges of attempted second-degree murder and battery earlier this year.

Stoddard was arrested for the stabbing in Pompano Beach, Florida, in April 2019 and charged with attempted murder and battery.

According to prosecutors, he got into an altercation with the victim after he attacked a girl in Tatton's car, CBS News reported.

During the ensuing struggle, Stoddard -- who was 16 at the time of the incident but was charged as an adult -- repeatedly stabbed Tatton with a knife.

"My son was just pulling him off of the girl he was strangling. He didn't know the boy had a knife in his pocket, my son got hit in his aorta and femoral artery and was left there to die and he was taunted by this man," the victim's father, Michael Tatton, said.

Tatton was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and placed on life support but ultimately survived.

Michael said that his son was "lucky to be alive" after his femoral artery was severed in the stabbing.

"He's severely brain-damaged, dealing with a lot of physical injuries after all, he died four times at the hospital. He received about 10 surgeries now, open heart, 70-75 blood transfusions," the father was quoted as saying by CBS News.

Stoddard was featured on the cover art for XXXTentacion's track "Look at Me!" in December 2015.

In the viral image, then-12-year-old Stoddard could be seen with a lit-up blunt hanging out of his nose.

Stoddard, who is also a rapper who goes by KidPronto, became acquainted with XXXTentacion -- whose real name is Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy -- as they came from the same Florida city.

In 2020, Stoddard explained to Complex how his selfie ended up on the cover of XXXTentacion's single.

"I was smoking, and I just put it in my nose, took a picture, and sent it to the group chat as a joke," he said. "We were just playing, and X was like, 'I'm going to use this as my next song cover.' He wasn't big or anything back then, so I didn't really think nothing of it."

Stoddard claimed that he lived at XXXTentacion's home for two months in 2017 while he was dealing with legal issues.

Stoddard was charged with robbery, battery, vehicle theft and resisting arrest that year and was sentenced to jail time, according to court documents cited by Complex.

While Stoddard was serving his sentence for those charges, XXXTentacion was murdered in Deerfield Beach, Florida, in June 2018.
