Ethel Cain Seemingly Calls For Biden's Assassination Over Israel Aid, Receives Support Online
Ethel Cain has received support from thousands of social media users after she criticized President Joe Biden for his administration's support of Israel amid the war in Gaza.
On Wednesday, the singer responded to reports by the Associated Press and other news outlets that the Biden administration will move forward on a $1 billion sale of arms and ammunition to Israel by seemingly calling for the assassination of the president.
In an Instagram Story, Cain shared an image showing military tanks and the text: "Biden to send $1 billion in new arms to Israel."
She made her opinion of the plan clear by writing above the image: "We need to bring back assassinations," as seen in a screenshot obtained by Pop Crave.
In another post, she directly tagged Biden's Instagram account and called him a "b***h."
Cain added in a third Instagram Story that she felt "like I'm taking crazy pills living in America in this day and age."
"Billionaires and politicians should be strung up in the street because what the hell is going on[?]" she added. "And we can't even have a revolution because our terroristic military would crush us in a heartbeat if we tried to revolt. I HATE IT HERE [crying emoji]."

Reposts of Cain's comments have received more than 300,000 likes collectively on X, formerly Twitter, with thousands of people tweeting in support of her.
"If you weren't an Ethel Cain fan before, here's your reason to start now," one X user commented.
"Ethel Cain for President," another declared, while a third person commented, "@'ing him just to call him a b***h is so real."
"Ethel Cain for sure gotta be the only artist featured on one of [Barack] Obama's playlists to openly call for the assassination of a sitting US president," another wrote, referring to the former president including Cain's "American Teenager" in his music playlist for 2022.
Some users pointed out that Cain is one of the few celebrities who have openly spoken out about the war in Gaza and voiced support for Palestine.
"I'm crying, most celebrities are too scared to ever open their mouths [about] anything; meanwhile, Ethel Cain is out here putting herself on government watchlists... Let her cook," one user wrote.
"Every celebrity: 'it's complicated, I know children are dying but -- my career!'" another posted. "Ethel Cain: 'we should f**king kill this guy.'"
Some users jokingly offered "free" legal representation to Cain if her posts ever land her in legal trouble.
But others said that while they understood Cain's feelings over the matter, calling for the assassination of a president was not the solution.
"Honestly, I get where she's coming from. The frustration with the political and economic elite is real. But advocating for violence isn't the answer," one X user wrote.
Cain's posts came as social media users continue to boycott celebrities over their silence on Palestine.
Since the 2024 Met Gala -- when the celebrity-account blocking trend began -- A-listers such as Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift have lost hundreds of thousands of followers across their social media pages.
According to Social Blade, Kardashian lost over 500,000 followers on Instagram alone over the past 10 days, while Swift lost nearly 400,000.
