Miranda Lambert Avoids Ex Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani At 2024 ACM Awards: Report
Exes Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton attended the 2024 ACM Awards with their new partners.
Lambert walked the red carpet at the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards at Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star in Frisco, Texas, with her police officer husband, Brendan McLoughlin, on Thursday. The couple dressed to impress ahead of her performance at the event.
The "Mama's Broken Heart" songstress donned a black, plunging V-neckline dress with a high slit. It featured a silver belt and had light blue embellishments. She paired it with a small silver purse. McLoughlin also looked dapper in his chic black suit and matching tie, per People.

However, Lambert reportedly avoided her ex-husband and his new wife, Gwen Stefani, at the event. The 31-time ACM Awards winner has no issues with Shelton but didn't want to end up in an "awkward" encounter with the "God Gave Me You" singer, according to a source.
"Miranda may not have anything against Blake, but she's also not looking for any awkward run ins with her ex," the unnamed source told In Touch on Friday, a day after the event. "She does avoid him and Gwen at these functions because she feels it's better to be safe than sorry."
The source added, "It's just a matter of not wanting to create a situation that could ultimately be taken out of context or misconstrued. Miranda knows the public appetite for drama between her and Blake or between her and Gwen is out there, and she chooses not to go there."
Enstarz could not independently verify the claim.

Lambert and Shelton walked the red carpet at different times with their new partners. Both also performed at the event. Lambert hit the stage first. Shelton performed "Purple Irises" with his wife, Stefani, soon after.
Lambert and Shelton dated in 2006 and tied the knot in 2011. However, they divorced four years later in July 2015.
"This is not the future we envisioned," a rep for Lambert and Shelton said at the time, per Us Weekly. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
In August 2015, Stefani filed for divorce from her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale. According to NBC, Shelton and Stefani's romance began in the same year.
"Next thing I know, I wake up, and she's all I care about, and I'm wondering if she feels the same about me," Shelton told Billboard in 2016, explaining how his and Stefani's divorces led them to each other. "Gwen saved my life. Who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile divorce from another musician? You can't even imagine the similarities in our divorces."
Shelton and Stefani tied the knot on July 3, 2021.
