Jennifer Lopez Asks Jennifer Garner For Help In Saving Ben Affleck Marriage: Report
Jennifer Lopez has reportedly been confiding in Jennifer Garner amid reports that her two-year marriage with Ben Affleck is going shaky.
Some insiders have claimed that the 54-year-old singer has been going to her husband's ex-wife for help as she allegedly battles to save her marriage, according to the Daily Mail.
"J.Lo has been confiding in Jen because she knows that she is one of the only few people in the world who would understand what she is going through," claimed one insider.
"She has been through it with the same man herself, and although the circumstances were quite different, it is still the same man, and they both dealt with some of the same issues."
The insider also claimed that Garner "really does care about J.Lo," and she wants to help save their marriage. The "13 Going on 30" actress also reportedly sees the "This Is Me... Now" artist as a "stabilizing force" in Affleck's life and previous alcohol addiction.
"Jen does not want Ben to pull the plug on this marriage because she really does care about J.Lo. She did go to his house to talk to him about this and to try and keep the two of them together," noted the insider.
"J.Lo was told several times by Jen how valued she is in all their lives. She is one of the only women who can get through to Ben and keep him from jumping off the deep end with his addiction."
"The biggest fear right now is that he will start drinking again and part of the reason Jen has been keeping tabs on him is to make sure this doesn't happen," added the source.
Aside from being the singer's confidante, the "Elektra" star reportedly acts as the couple's encourager as they go through a rough patch in their marriage.
"J.Lo and Ben are trying to make this work with all their might, and Jen is definitely a cheerleader for them. Jen and Ben's kids love J.Lo like a second mom, and it would devastate them for this to end," said the insider.
"There are so many reasons why they should work it out and very few reasons why they should end it."
