Prince Harry ‘Dropped’ His Friends After Meeting Meghan Markle; Royal ‘Totally Changed,’ Insiders Reveal
British socialite Lizzie Cundy claimed that Prince Harry "has let go" of his former friends.
In an interview with GB News, the 56-year-old said that the Duke of Sussex has not only "dropped" his royal title but alsohis friends.
"I knew a lot of Harry's former friends and he has let them go. These are the friends that went on holiday with him to Vegas. He used to go and watch them play rugby. I remember a time being at a private club in Mayfair and Harry walked in with all the England rugby squad," Cundy told the outlet.
"He was one of the lads, he loved his friends and he's totally disconnecting with them. Since 2020, he's rarely been in touch with any of his old friends who actually were there to support Harry."
"Don't forget, Harry had quite a lot of bad press when he dressed up in a Nazi uniform and all these stories about his love life were plastered on the front of the papers. It was his mates that picked him up and looked after him. It's very sad that he seems to have forgotten about them now," she added.
The TV personality claimed that Prince Harry has changed a lot from being the "adored" royal he used to be ever since he and Meghan Markle became a couple.
"I don't want to blame Meghan for everything, but I will do [it] because he has totally changed since he's been with her."
"Friends say he's not the same Harry. He doesn't look like the same Harry. He looks constantly sad and a different kind of person," she continued.
"He was our most popular royal. We all adored Harry. And he has totally had a personality change since meeting Meghan."
GB News host Nana Akua chimed in, "Do you think it's like when you've got a best friend then they meet a partner and then they kind of drop you? Do you think that's kind of how the British public [is]? Feeling like the dropped best friend?"
"Well, yes, it is like that. We feel like he has dropped us. He doesn't want to be a working royal anymore. He has left. He has left his country, and he has done nothing but moan and winch about us," Lizzie responded.
The Sussexes stepped back from being "senior members" of the royal family in January 2020 to become financially independent after "many months of reflection and internal discussions."
"We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honor our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages," they wrote in an official announcement at the time.
