Brad Pitt Wants To 'Rekindle' Broken Bond With Shiloh; Still 'Loves Her Unconditionally' Despite Angelina Jolie Feud
Brad Pitt reportedly wants to "rekindle" the bond he once had with his daughter Shiloh that was broken by his divorce from her mom, Angelina Jolie.
The 60-year-old actor is looking into repairing his strained relationship with Shiloh and his other children with his "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" co-star, claimed a source close to him, per the Daily Mail.
"Everyone is confident that they will, in time, rekindle the bond that was broken by the divorce. Keeping Shiloh from Brad is no longer an option for Angelina," said the source, pointing out that Shiloh just turned 18 and can make choices for herself.
The source said that Shiloh becoming an adult will allow Brad to repair their strained relationship. But, whatever her choice will be, no matter what she chooses to do with the freedom she has now, her dad "would still love her unconditionally."
Another source supported the claim, saying, "Angie can make them think differently, but the truth is, Brad always wants them to know that he has their back. Brad never wants to regret, so when he is 70, 80, or 90, he would always love to see his kids and have a relationship with them."
"He would love Shiloh to start making her own decisions and him to be in the mix for her future, so he just has to see what happens and hope for the best."
Just recently, an insider claimed that Shiloh "is not trying to hurt her dad's feelings" by removing his family name from her Instagram handle.
"She has sympathy that he's estranged from some of her siblings, but she idolizes her mom and is just doing what feels comfortable," said the tipster.
The claims come after two former bodyguards of the Jolie-Pitt household, Tony Webb and Ross Foster, alleged that the "Maleficent" star was "encouraging them [her kids] to avoid spending time with Mr. Pitt during custody visits."
Foster said he overheard the statements the actress made to her children about it.
