Melania And Ivanka Trump Reconcile After Long-Standing Feud After Donald Trump's 34 Guilty Verdicts: Report
The Trump women have found themselves closer after the former president's guilty verdict, according to reports.
Former President Donald Trump was found guilty in his New York hush money trial in May. He was found guilty on 34 counts for falsifying company records in order to cover-up hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels.
While the political and professional impact of the trial's conclusion is still in question, the personal impact has been, in part, positive. A source told 'Page Six' that the verdict "brought the entire family closer together than they have ever been."
This includes the rumored-to-be tense relationship between former first lady Melania Trump and former first daughter Ivanka Trump. In light of the verdicts, there has been "a thaw in the sometimes chilly and tense relationship" between the two women.
The 'Page Six' source continued to emphasize the familial support the former 'Apprentice' host is receiving. "Words of support have overridden any past tension as the family comes together. The family has closed ranks and is behind the campaign," the insider claimed. "Friends say they haven't seen the family on the same page like this since his inauguration years ago."
Other sources, however, suggest that there never was a rift in the family at all.
Trump's sentencing is scheduled for July 11th. Todd Blanche, Donald Trump's legal counsel, plans to appeal his convictions. Blanche told 'CBS News' that "Getting to an appeal is important for him and important for the American people." But the appeal cannot take place until after sentencing.
There is a chance that Trump, 77, could be in jail at the time of the Republican National Convention.
"If there is a sentence of incarceration, and how that is carried out and when it's carried out — I expect that we would ask for a stay of any sentence while the appellate process works its way through the courts," Blanche said. "That's discretionary. That's not something that has to be granted. So that's something that I don't want to think about. I don't think it's going to happen. But it's possible, of course."
