Hunter Biden got emotional while listening to his daughter Naomi Biden testify in his defense at his federal gun trial.

On Friday, President Joe Biden's embattled son returned to the courtroom in Wilmington, Delaware, where he's on trial for allegations that he lied on a federal form about his drug use when he purchased a gun in October 2018.

His daughter Naomi, 30, testified that Hunter seemed to be improving when she and her now-husband Peter Neal visited her dad in rehab in Los Angeles in August 2018.

Naomi said that she knew her father was "struggling with addiction" and that "things got bad" following the death of her uncle and Hunter's brother, Beau Biden.

"I hadn't seen my dad in a long time, and I knew he was in a rehab facility there. He reached out," Naomi told the court, as quoted by the Associated Press.

Hunter was seen wiping away tears as Naomi spoke about sending her father a text saying she was "so proud" of him following the visit, NBC News reported.

Naomi testified that Hunter "still seemed good" and that she did not notice any evidence of drug use or paraphernalia in his car around the time he purchased the gun in October 2018.

After her testimony, Naomi gave her dad a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

She was also seen wiping away tears as she left the courtroom accompanied by Secret Service agents.

Hunter faces three felony charges, which include allegedly lying to a federally licensed gun dealer, making a false claim on the form by saying he did not use narcotics, and illegally possessing a gun while using illicit drugs.

Hunter has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

His lawyers said Hunter was in recovery at the time and thus was telling the truth that he was not a drug user.

If found guilty, Hunter could face up to 25 years in prison and fines of up to $750,000.

President Biden addressed his son's criminal trial during an interview with ABC News Thursday.

The president said he will accept whatever the verdict is in Hunter's trial and will not pardon him if he's convicted.
