King Charles wants to be there for all of his grandchildren, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's kids, according to a source.

The British monarch hasn't seen Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, for a while. He sees them through video calls, but he is reportedly not satisfied with it.

"The King is absolutely committed to being present in all of his grandchildren's lives," a source told the Mirror. "He values family above everything, and whatever the course of his relationship with his son, he would never be content with just seeing his grandchildren on the odd video call."

The report about King Charles wanting to see the Sussexes' kids came just a week after Lilibet celebrated her birthday. Prince Harry and Markle's daughter turned 3 on June 4.

King Charles reportedly sent a birthday present to Lilibet. However, he reserved a special gift for when the Sussexes' feud with the royal family is over.

"King Charles had no intention of completely ignoring Lilibet's birthday, so he has sent a gift along with a message," said royal expert and commentator Tom Quinn.

"He gave Prince George a beautiful hand-made wooden swing with George's name carved on it, and he has plans to give something similar to Lilibet, but not this year. And not unless and until the family feud dies down."

While King Charles struggles with his relationship with Prince Harry's kids because he can't spend as much time with them, he is reportedly a "fantastic and enthusiastic grandpa" to Prince William and Kate Middleton's three children -- Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

For instance, during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee pageant, the Prince and Princess of Wales' youngest child was spotted sitting on His Majesty's lap. Prince Louis made headlines that week due to his cheeky antics from making faces, slumping under his seat and sulking after being told off.

A video shared on Instagram captured Prince William asking his dad, "Grandpa, can Louis sit on your knee?" The then 4-year-old tot hurriedly stood up and walked toward his grandfather before the King could even reply with, "Of course."

King Charles held Prince Louis as the latter comfortably sat on his lap, leaving Queen Camilla giggling. One commenter said King Charles "[lights] up when his grandchildren are around him."
