Prince William Reveals Prince Louis' 'Best' Advice For England Team To Win UEFA Euro 2024
Prince Louis is all geared up for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 tournament and he's made it clear who he's rooting for.
In a show of support, Prince William made a surprise visit to the England national football team on Monday at St. George's Park, Burton-Upon-Trent in the United Kingdom, to boost their morale ahead of Euro 2024 which kicks off this month.
The Prince of Wales, a well-known football enthusiast and president of the English Football Association, gave words of encouragement to the team during a team-building session.
During his talk, Prince William revealed that he asked his kids -- Prince George, 10; Princess Charlotte, 8; and Prince Louis, 6 -- for advice on how the team could win the European Football Championship. The youngest royal had the most interesting bit of advice on winning the cup.
"I was on the school run this morning with the children and I said 'what shall I say to the England team today?' The best bit of advice I got to ask you was to eat twice the amount you normally would eat," Kate Middleton's husband revealed to the squad, noted the Daily Mail.
"So I then had visions of you all running around with massive great tummies and loads of stitches on the pitch so I think maybe take my youngest's advice with a pinch of salt, particularly around the physio team."
England's national team captain Harry Kane laughed off Prince Louis' advice, saying their nutritionists weren't too happy with the tip.
"I know. We've got to be careful with that. I don't think the nutritionist was too happy with that advice, but it's great to have the Prince here," the 30-year-old forward who currently plays for Bayern Munich said.
Kane doubled down on his appreciation for the Royal Family's support, adding that the prince's visit serves as "extra motivation."
"He'll be watching [the games]. His kids are obviously big fans as well, now. They'll remember their first, second tournament as I did when I was younger," he added.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are known to encourage an active lifestyle in their children, who all shown interest in different sports.
The royal couple have been spotted watching Premier League matches with George and Charlotte in tow. The dad-and-son duo of William and George were also in attendance at Euro 2020 to support England as they entered the tournament finals.
As for Louis, the youngest of the Wales is known to be very energetic and cheerful, and enjoys bike rides.
In an interview with Middleton in 2020, the duchess said that she is at her happiest when she's with "my family outside in the countryside and we're all filthy dirty."
Middleton, however, continues to be absent from the spotlight as she continues her treatment for a form of cancer. She announced her cancer diagnosis through an emotional video in March after the discovery of cancerous cells during a planned abdominal surgery earlier in the year.
UEFA Euro 2024 will kick off on June 15 with England facing Serbia in Group C on June 16 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
