Gucci Mane's 1017 Records label has been labeled "cursed" by some fans following the death of his former artist Enchanting.

On Tuesday, the 1017 Records founder -- born Radric Delantic Davis -- took to Instagram to confirm the death of and pay tribute to his ex-protégée Enchanting, who reportedly died after being taken off life support at a hospital. She was 26.

"So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting," Gucci Mane wrote alongside a photo of Enchanting, who left his company in 2023.

But Enchanting's death sparked speculations among social media users that anyone who signed to 1017 was "cursed" after tragedies befell several past and current artists of the label.

"Nah I'm sorry. But at this point you got to look at 1017 with the side eye. How many artists is that now? Not saying it's his fault, I'm just saying it's like a curse. Being signed to 1017 is like a death sentence at this point," one Instagram user speculated in the comments section of Gucci Mane's post.

"Said the label cursed," another person claimed, while a third one called for Gucci Mane to "shut [his] label down."

"No way [your] whole label either dead or in prison," a fourth commenter wrote.

"So what [if] she wasn't signed to him no more[?] Once you sign with these labels, it's death row. What about his other artists that are dead or in jail[?]" another comment read.

Another quipped: "Rename the label to 'Final Destination' records."

But many others, including Gucci Mane's wife Keyshia Ka'Oir, defended the Atlanta rapper and his label.

"Leave my husband alone! He signs these artist[s] to help them & give them a better life! I wish it wasn't like this Chant we love you baby girl! RIH," Ka'Oir commented.

"He had nothing to do with her personal life y'all chill!!!!" another person wrote.

"Gucci gave these artists an opportunity to make it out of the trenches! What they do with their lives outside of music is NOT GUCCI FAULT," a third comment read.

Over the past two years, several artists who signed with Gucci Mane's label has either died or been put behind bars.

In 2022, Hotboy Wes was arrested on a robbery charge, while Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano were sentenced to prison time for being involved in a shooting and removing a government-issued ankle monitor, respectively, according to XXL.

Big Scarr died from an accidental prescription drug overdose in December of that year. The following month, Mac Critter was arrested and charged with murder. FTO Sett was also arrested in February.

Reports first surfaced Monday that rapper Enchanting -- born Channing Nicole Larry -- was in the ICU fighting for her life. Her passing was confirmed the following day.

A representative from her team told The Shade Room Tuesday that Enchanting had been suffering from withdrawals and had overdosed.

"She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best and I did everything I could to help her, she tried," the rep said.
