Is 'Teen Mom' Amber's Missing Fiancé Just Hiding From Her? Gary Spotted Driving In Oklahoma
"Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood's fiancé, Gary Wayt, is apparently alive and well after being reported missing.
Wayt -- who recently got engaged to Portwood -- was captured by surveillance cameras driving his car in Oklahoma Wednesday, Bryson City Police told Page Six.
Authorities also received confirmation that Wayt visited a Verizon store in Oklahoma, though it remains unclear if he bought anything.
Bryson City Police Department Asst. Chief Wayne Dover confirmed to TMZ that Portwood's fiancé was still considered a missing person as of Thursday afternoon despite his sightings in Oklahoma.
However, the police officer said there was no suspicion of foul play or a potential suicide in Wayt's case at this time.
According to Dover, a witness who claimed to have spotted Wayt in Weatherford, Oklahoma, said he did not seem upset and instead appeared calm the whole time.
The witness told law enforcement that Wayt did "normal activities" and allegedly identified himself during a conversation with a local.
Wayt was reportedly later seen out and about just west of Weatherford, according to TMZ.
It is unclear why Wayt has not reached out to Portwood, 34, since she last saw him in North Carolina Sunday evening.
The reality star has not publicly addressed his sightings in Oklahoma as of this writing.
On Tuesday, the Bryson City Police Department posted on its Facebook page that Wayt was missing and shared several photos of him.
According to the police department, he was last seen driving a 2009 gray SUV Nissan Rouge with Indiana license plates.
On the same day, Portwood, who met her beau through a dating app last year, shared during a chat with Elle Bee on YouTube that she and Wayt's family are "very worried" about him.
"There was not a big blowout fight or anything like that, OK? He is a missing person right now," the reality star explained.
According to Portwood, no one has heard from Wayt since he left the North Carolina residence where they were staying Sunday. Her fiancé took his keys and wallet with him but not his phone, the TV personality said.
Portwood said they're "very scared" because Wayt doesn't have a GPS in his car.
"We are in the mountains," she shared. "He has never driven in the mountains."
Portwood also shut down the claims that they had an "explosive argument" or that she hurt him before he went missing.
However, she said she and Wayt had an "emotional" conversation about his "parents being Vietnamese" and who she is.
Just days before he was reported missing, Us Weekly reported that Portwood and Wayt are engaged after he popped the big question within the last two weeks.
An unnamed source told the outlet at the time that the pair were going to couple's therapy and "doing the work to prevent problems before they start."
