Joe Alwyn has finally broken his silence on his split from Taylor Swift.

In a new interview, Alwyn was asked if he has listened to the songs on Swift's latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," which Swifties believe contains references to their relationship and April 2023 breakup.

The 33-year-old English actor did not directly answer The Sunday Times' question but did seemingly debunk a few misconceptions about his romance and split from Swift.

Alwyn told the outlet that he and Swift had "a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years."

The "Conversations with Friends" actor noted that a breakup after that long of a relationship was already "a hard thing to navigate," but the breakup appearing on news outlets -- and subsequently the public eye -- just a week after it happened left him little time to privately grieve.

News broke in early April last year that Alwyn and Swift called it quits after more than six years together.

Since then, various speculations have surfaced about the timeline and reason behind their split, especially after Jack Antonoff revealed that he and Swift co-wrote and recorded "You're Losing Me" in December 2021 -- more than a year before her breakup from Alwyn.

Swift releasing the heartbreaking song in May 2023, a month after the split was made public, led fans to believe it was inspired by their breakup.

Some Swifties suggested that the date the song was recorded may be a hint that Swift and Alwyn's relationship started falling apart much earlier than initially thought, according to Today.

During his interview with the Times, Alwyn suggested that there's much more to the story than the public knows after people "pulled out of shape beyond recognition" his and Swift's relationship and breakup.

"There is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said. I have made my peace with that," he said.

Alwyn made it clear that he doesn't plan to share any of the more private details about his relationship with Swift -- something he and the pop superstar apparently agreed on.

Much like Swift -- who has found love in Travis Kelce and reached new career highs with her "Eras Tour" and album -- Alwyn said he's in a "really great place in my life, professionally and personally," a little over a year after their split.

"I feel really good," he shared.

However, Alwyn refused to say whether he has stayed in touch with Swift or found a new girlfriend.

He told the outlet: "I'm sure you can appreciate, given the level of noise and scrutiny about my past relationship, why I wouldn't want to just open the door to things like that right now."
