David Beckham's 2017 jaunt at Glastonbury didn't go as planned due to what his wife, Victoria Beckham, did, according to a new book.

Tom Bower wrote about David and Victoria's relationship in his upcoming book "The House of Beckham." In it, he claims that seven years ago, the former Spice Girl member gate-crashed her husband's party at Glastonbury after he attended the event without her. She allegedly went to the party after arriving from New York.

The night before Victoria's arrival, the group, including married Lady Mary Charteris, a "glamorous Australian bikini model" and Beckham's BFF Dave Gardner, had partied until 5 a.m. The festivities resumed lunchtime the next day "until interrupted by a telephone call" that Victoria had arrived.

"There was no hassle and a great mood until she landed,' complained one of the group," Bower wrote in the excerpt serialized in the Mirror.

"With her entourage, she headed in a golf buggy through the scruffy campers to the VIP zone. She was furious that her husband had failed to reply to her telephone calls and had dispatched a search party. Eventually, David appeared. Within seconds, they were embroiled in a ferocious argument.... 'They looked quite miserable,' said one eyewitness, 'but they managed to pose for the cameras.'"

Bower also claimed that the singer wasn't too keen on her husband's friendship with Gardner. She was allegedly "particularly unhappy" that Beckham served as Gardner's best man when he wed soap actress and socialite Davinia Taylor in 2003.

"His presence, she complained, increased the financial value of Gardner's contract with OK! magazine. Two years after the wedding, Victoria was irritated by the publicity surrounding Gardner's 'crisis talks to save his marriage.' His wife had become notorious for lesbian affairs with her Primrose Hill neighbours and treatment for alcoholism and drug addiction at The Priory," the book author continued.

"Their separation and eventual divorce increased the time Gardner and Beckham spent together, especially after Beckham stopped playing professional football. Without the demands of a strict training routine, Gardner had helped fill the vacuum by introducing him to glittering parties."

The Beckhams opened up about their marriage in their 2023 Netflix docuseries "Beckham." The couple discussed the alleged affair that plagued the athlete, and the fashion designer admitted it wasn't easy for them.

"It was the hardest period for us because it felt like the world was against us," Victoria said, per the BBC. "Here's the thing - we were against each other if I'm completely honest."

She added, "It was probably, if I'm being honest, the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life."

"The House of Beckham" will hit the shelves on Thursday.
