The best friend of Wendy Williams is not convinced her friend is in a good space due to her guardianship.

Regina Schell continues to voice serious concerns about the TV host's guardianship and her continued isolation. This uncharacteristic isolation has prompted Schell to speak out to the 'U.S. Sun,' highlighting the reported troubling circumstances surrounding Williams' guardianship.

Schell even compared Williams' current situation with Britney Spears' conservatorship.

"This is a Britney Spears thing, only it's worse since it's not even Wendy's family who has control," Schell said. "At least with Britney Spears, it was her dad, it was her family. This is a woman who's not even family. And how does this guardian get all this standing?"

The guardianship in question began in 2022, with Sabrina Morrissey appointed as Williams' guardian amid her ongoing health crises. Morrissey, however, is not related to Williams' family, a fact that has fueled Schell's concerns.

Furthermore, Schell suggested that Morrissey might not be adequately attending to Williams' needs, particularly her nutrition. "She would order food at like 7:30 in the morning and breakfast wouldn't arrive till 11:30, and by that time she's ready for lunch," Schell claimed.

The guardianship is suspect largely due to the inaccessibility of Williams herself. She has not been photographed in public for several years and friends and family are reportedly having difficulty getting in touch with her.

Schell previously expressed to the 'U.S. Sun' how "Talking is Wendy's life, her whole claim to fame is talking, and I don't think she would be this quiet unless she was forced to be quiet. Where is Wendy and why is no one asking that question? And why is no one answering that question? Why can't they produce Wendy, or an actual statement from Wendy, or a picture of Wendy? Where is Wendy?"

Schell's anxieties extend beyond just physical care to the emotional and psychological impact of the 59-year-old's isolation.

She questions the motivations behind such stringent measures.

"What's the endgame in all of this," she asked. "She should be surrounded by friends and family right now, not isolated and alone."
