Justin Timberlake Arrested For Driving While Intoxicated In The Hamptons With 'Glassy' And 'Bloodshot Eyes'
Justin Timberlake has been accused of driving while under the influence in the New York Hamptons, per police.
The "Cry Me A River" singer was reportedly driving a 2025 BMW after midnight Tuesday when he ignored a stop sign and was unable to stay within the driving lane, per a release by the Sag Harbor Police Department.
The complaint stated that the 43-year-old was seen with "glassy" and "bloodshot eyes," as he was fresh off a night of drinking at the American Hotel, per 'Page Six.'
"A traffic stop was initiated by a police officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and upon investigation it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition," the statement said per the 'HuffPost.'
"The defendant was operating said vehicle in an intoxicated condition in that his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests," police officer Michael Arkinson claimed.
The Grammy Award winning singer was arraigned and released without having to post bail about nine hours after his arrest, 'NBC News' reported.
Timberlake — who declined to be tested for impairment — was quoted by the Sag Harbor police officer stating: "I had one martini and I followed my friends home."
There's been talks that the pop star has reportedly been retired by his fans following reported disastrous ticket sales for his 'Forget Tomorrow' tour, seemingly leading to the cancellation of his June 8 concert in South Carolina. No further details regarding the cancellation were given.
The former *NSYNC star has received dozens of awards in the span of his music career including 10 Grammys, 9 Billboards, 11 MTV Music Awards and more. He's also been nominated for Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and SAG awards for his acting.
