Barron Trump may be a sports fan and have the height to make it in the NBA, but he prefers soccer over basketball, according to his dad Donald Trump.

The former president and current presidential candidate recently appeared on Logan Paul's "Impaulsive" podcast, where he gushed over his and his wife Melania Trump's "beautiful boy," Barron.

According to Trump, Barron now has the same height as Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, but no amount of urging from his dad can get the 18-year-old to shoot hoops.

"He's a big boy -- 6 foot 9," Trump claimed. "And I couldn't get him to play basketball. He plays soccer. He's a good athlete too. Good student, good athlete."

"But he's 6 foot 9. Good-looking guy, but he is a tall one, there's no question about that," he added.

Trump went on to joke that now that Barron -- who was reported to be 6 foot 7 in height earlier this year -- towers over him, he doesn't like standing next to his son when posing for photos.

"I say, 'Barron, I don't want to take a picture next to you,'" the ex-POTUS said.

This was not the first time Trump talked about his son's height and sports preferences.

Back in January, the GOP 2024 presidential candidate credited the food made by Melania's late mother, Amalija Knavs, for Barron's massive frame.

"Boy, did [Amalija] take care of Barron. That's how he got so tall, he only ate her food," Trump said during an Iowa rally, according to the Daily Mail.

Trump also told the crowd at the time that he'd been trying to convince Barron -- who previously played for soccer club D.C. United's youth team -- to get into basketball but to no avail.

"I said. 'You're gonna be a basketball player.' He said, 'Well, I like soccer, dad, actually.' I thought... at your height, I'd like basketball better, but you can't talk them into everything," Trump said.

Barron is now gearing up for college following his high school graduation from the exclusive Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, last month.

According to the Daily Beast, Trump said in May that his youngest child had yet to decide on which college he'll attend and that they continue to look at schools for him.

"Right now, he's doing a great job," he said of Barron. "He has great marks."

Trump added, "He's going to be going to college soon. And we're looking at some colleges that are different than they were two months ago."
