Serena Williams Urged To ‘Love Yourself’ By Fans After Belly Procedure: ‘STOP Touching, Fixing, Injecting’
Despite Serena Williams' long-standing position as the greatest women's tennis player ever, she still can't escape negative comments about her body and looks.
Williams took to Instagram over the weekend to share her experience in undergoing a radio-frequency skin-tightening treatment on her midsection. She revealed that she's been feeling "self conscious" about her tummy after giving birth to two babies — Olympia and Adira.
"Being ok to take time for myself is something I have always struggled with," the 23-time Grand Slam winner penned in the caption of her honest post.
"On my last trip to Paris a girlfriend of mine treated me to a spa day. She knows after 2 babies I have been self conscious of my tummy. I just had to post this video she took. The results have been amazing," Williams, 42, explained.
"I can see progress with my skin going back to normal and my confidence coming back. Listen my body will never be the same but neither will I cause I have 2 amazing lights in my life. @Olympiaohanian and @adiraohanian," the athlete added.
Many fans took a liking to her heartfelt expression while others responded with sarcasm or judgment. "I prioritize vacationing with my son on his birthday every year for the past 8 years and eat as much as I can," one Instagram user responded. "I like this Serena however STOP touching, fixing, injecting your face," another fan boldly commented.
"Girl sit your black self down that woke up white. You really had something to say about Caitlin Clark but not all this black excellence going around you. Sit this one out. I would say sis but you're not one of us," a third fan responded harshly.

The 'Atlanta Black Star' reported that fans claimed Williams was seen appearing "disheveled" alongside husband, Alexis Ohanian.
Per the media outlet, trolls responded that she was a "poor thing" and "whoever worked on her face should get sued...they did a really bad job."
Williams has never admitted to undergoing cosmetic surgery on her face, but has been seen attempting to squeeze into her favorite denim skirt — without success.
"I just wanna cry," Williams stated with an exaggerated facial expression.
Williams and Ohanian, 41, reportedly fell in love in 2015 after the two met by chance while staying at the same hotel in Rome. The duo tied the knot in New Orleans in 2017 alongside star-studded guests including Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian.
