Meghan Markle's estranged father remains baffled that he has yet to meet his son-in-law Prince Harry six years after the royal and his daughter tied the knot.

Thomas Markle Sr. opened up about his frosty relationship with his daughter and her husband in a new interview with the Daily Mail ahead of his 80th birthday in July.

The former Hollywood lighting director -- who has not been on speaking terms with Meghan and Prince Harry since their 2018 wedding -- told the outlet that he's confused over why the Duke of Sussex allegedly has never come to meet him since he began dating his daughter in 2016.

"When I reflect back on my life, as you do when you are approaching 80, that's one of the questions I cannot find an answer for," said Thomas, who lives in Rosarito, Mexico. "Why didn't Harry ever come to meet me?"

He added, "[Harry] has the resources to fly around the world -- and does -- but why didn't he come to see me, particularly when people in the royal household like Jason Knauf [Harry and Meghan's former communications secretary] were urging him to do so? That has never made sense to me. What man gets married without meeting his wife's father?"

Prince Harry and Meghan have not publicly addressed Thomas' latest comments about them as of this writing.

Meghan has been estranged from her dad since Thomas allegedly was caught staging paparazzi photos just before her royal wedding.

Days before the ceremony, Thomas -- who was supposed to walk his daughter down the aisle -- dropped out of the wedding, saying he had been hospitalized because of a suspected heart attack.

Prince Harry's father King Charles ended up walking Meghan down the aisle at St. George's Chapel on the big day.

During the Sussexes' 2021 sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, the former "Suits" star said she felt betrayed and suggested she's struggled to forgive Thomas after he allegedly lied to her about talking to the British press.

"I look at Archie, I think about this child and I genuinely can't imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child," Meghan said. "I can't imagine it, so it's hard for me to reconcile that."

Over the years, Thomas has repeatedly criticized Meghan and Prince Harry in interviews and even accused them of "destroying" the royal family in a 2020 documentary.

But in a 2023 interview with "7News Spotlight," he publicly made a plea to reconcile with his daughter and son-in-law after suffering a devastating stroke.

More than a year later, Thomas claimed that he still hasn't talked to Meghan and Prince Harry or met his grandchildren, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.

He told the Daily Mail that despite it being unlikely, he hopes to hear from Meghan and Prince Harry and see his grandchildren on his 80th birthday on July 18. But Thomas added that he would be "happy" to get even just a photo at this point.

"I don't expect to hear from Meghan and Harry," Thomas told the outlet. "I wish we could have worked this situation out. I was always ready and willing to do that."
