Foo Fighters founder Dave Grohl is in hot water after insinuating that Taylor Swift does not sing live on her world tour.

At a recent show in London, the former drummer of Nirvana fired at the multi-Grammy-awarded singer on stage at Wembley Stadium, saying, "I tell you, man, you don't want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. So we like to call our tour the 'Errors Tour.' We've had more than a few eras, and more than a few f**king errors as well. Just a couple."

"That's because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock 'n' roll music, right? You came to the right f**king place."

In the video uploaded by user @lucysreputation on X, formerly Twitter, it can be heard that the audience booed Grohl as he spoke about Taylor.

Many of his fans fired back at him for his "unnecessary" remark via social media.

"I love Foo Fighters, but that was very bad out of Dave Grohl to say that and so unnecessary? I've seen both them [and] Taylor live and both do equally as good of a live show in their own genres. Completely out of character for him to act like this, disappointing to see," a Foo Fighter fan tweeted.

"I'm with you. Dave really overstepped on this. Definitely not like him," agreed another fan.

"I'm a Foo Fighters fan, but that was poor form, Dave, and says more about you than it does about her. Just one more error to add to your Errors tour. No doubt, Taylor Swift will just shake it off," commented another supporter of the band.

"What a nasty comment. I have always respected Dave Grohl, but this remark was unkind and just petty. I never believed he could be this kind of person. What an utter disappointment," weighed in someone else.

"Also seen both shows! It's a shame because it could have been an incredible band supporting an incredible artist, but instead, he chose to do this. It is a little dissapointing (sic) tbh," wrote a fifth fan.

Meanwhile, some social media users came to Grohl's defense, saying that his remark was just a joke.

"It was a joke. What is wrong with everyone being so sensitive. It's true, she uses click tracks, she pretends to play guitar, it happens. She uses a lot of auto tune in her music. Swift is a show, Foo Fighters is a concert with real music and no metronome to help," opined one X user.

"He's just saying they play live while she uses backing tracks. It's a funny little quip. He didn't say she doesn't play live, but they play all their instruments for every song, and so they make little mistakes while they play," wrote someone else.
