Floyd Mayweather Praised As 'Best' Grandpa Over Viral Video Of Him Brushing Grandson's Teeth
Floyd Mayweather proved he takes his grandfather duties seriously as a new viral video showed him helping his grandson brush his teeth.
On Saturday, the retired boxing champ, 47, took to Instagram to share a new video of him bonding with his toddler grandson, Kentrell "Meezy" Gaulden Jr.
In the clip, the young boy -- who is the son of Mayweather's daughter Iyanna "Yaya" Mayweather and rapper NBA Youngboy -- could be seen standing on a chair inside a bathroom as his grandfather gently brushes his teeth and tongue using a toothbrush.
"Whether ... you're a Father or Grandfather, the daily duties never stop!" Mayweather captioned the video. "Priceless times are the moments you can never get back."
The video was later reposted to X, formerly Twitter, where it gained over 4 million views and garnered hundreds of comments praising Mayweather as a grandfather.
"Hate him all you want, he [is] definitely a good grandad," one user commented, while another wrote, "He really loves that boy."
"Bro [got] a [second] chance [at] being a parent. That's why he going so hard," another suggested.
A fourth person joked, "Floyd said f**k Yaya and Youngboy, this my baby."
"Bad parents make the best grandparents... [I] don't know why, but it always seem to go like that," another wrote.
"KJ being born has shown that there is a different side to Floyd that isn't seen enough ]and] I love it. Their bond is so cute," a sixth user gushed.
This is far from the first time Mayweather has posted about his grandson on social media.
Back in March, the former pro boxer shared a video of him giving Kentrell some boxing training in what appeared to be their living room.
Mayweather could be seen holding up his mitt-covered hands while the toddler, who sported white, blue and red "Spider-Man"-themed boxing gloves, did his best to land a blow on the mitts.
In the sweet video, Mayweather gave Kentrell some words of encouragement every time the boy successfully struck the mitts.
Kentrell has his own Instagram page filled with videos of him spending time with his famous grandpa.
One clip posted in December 2023 showed Mayweather and his grandson dressed in winter gear as they enjoyed ice skating together.
Another video shared back in July 2023 showed Mayweather holding Kentrell as he declared that his grandson loves him more than he does his grandmother, Melissa.
In the video, Melissa jokingly tried to get Kentrell's attention and persuade him to come to her instead of his grandfather but ended up failing.
