One of the suspects who plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the killing of Pop Smoke has reportedly been released.

Rapper Envy Caine celebrated the release of a 21-year-old from prison on Instagram by sharing images of the convicted felon out of jail. Caine, who posted about the suspect's release, was among several unidentified teenagers detained in connection with the 2020 murder case. The circumstances surrounding the convicted's release remain unclear. "They Free'd My Daugs," Caine exclaimed on his Instagram Story.

According to 'NBC News,' the name of the released man has been barred from the public as he was a juvenile — 17-years-old — at the time of the crime.

The newly released, reported to be King Vermont on Instagram, referenced a new chapter in his life.

"To everyone asking about interviews," King Vermont, the name stated on his Instagram account, stated, directing inquiries to his management. Concurrently, an 18-year-old implicated in the 2020 shooting confessed to the killing in a juvenile court session last Friday.

The newly released also plead guilty to home invasion robbery and was sentenced to four years and two months in a juvenile detention facility.

Pop Smoke, born Bashar Barakah Jackson, was assassinated on February 19, 2020 in Los Angeles. Five hooded men broke into a rented AirBnB and shot the "Welcome to the Party" emcee three times, the 'Daily News' reported.

Pop Smoke was known for his influential role in the Brooklyn drill music scene and had just begun to achieve mainstream success with his music career. His posthumous releases have continued to contribute to his legacy in the music industry.
