Crazy Town's lead vocalist, Shifty Shellshock, died on Monday in L.A. County.

He was 49.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Shellshock, born Seth Binzer, was found dead at his Los Angeles residence. The cause of death for the "Butterfly" singer remains unlisted at this time.

Binzer started his career in the music industry alongside Bret "Epic" Mazur in 1992. The duo initially formed a group called the Brimstone Sluggers, which evolved into the rock band Crazy Town in Los Angeles in 1995, as reported by 'Variety' and 'Deadline.'

Along with bandmates Rust Epique, James Bradley Jr., Doug Miller, Adam Goldstein, and Antonio Lorenzo "Trouble" Valli, the duo released their debut album, "The Gift of Game," under the name Crazy Town in 1999.

Their song, "Butterfly" (1999), the third single from the album, catapulted the band into superstardom. It became a 2000s anthem and was featured in the movie 'Something's Gotta Give' with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton.

In 2002, the group released their second album, 'Darkhorse,' but disbanded after it failed to achieve the same success, as reported by 'Deadline.' They reunited under the moniker Brimstone Sluggers in 2015 and later rebranded as Crazy Town X following Mazur's departure in 2017, according to the outlet.

He is survived by his three children; Gage, Halo, and Phoenix.
