The supposed "Drake Curse" has reportedly come for — Drake.

In the world of sports, superstitions and curses often take on a life of their own, and one of the most notorious in recent memory is the "Drake Curse." This phenomenon suggests that any team or athlete Drake publicly supports is seemingly doomed to lose.

Over the past two weeks, Drake, born Aubrey Drake Graham, has reportedly lost a staggering $1 million in sports bets. On June 6th, Drake placed two monumental bets on different teams, each amounting to $500,000.

According to 'Hot New Hip Hop,' his first bet was on the Dallas Mavericks to triumph in the 2024 NBA Finals. However, the title ultimately went to the Boston Celtics on June 17th.

Drake, 37, placed another $500,000 bet on the Edmonton Oilers to seize victory in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Oilers fell short against the Florida Panthers on June 24th.

Aside from losing bets, many fans believe the Toronto native lost a rap battle against Kendrick Lamar. Lamar was officially deemed the winner after the release of his diss track "Not Like Us," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 100.

"Not Like Us" may be the first diss track ever to win a Grammy Award. Harvey Mason, the CEO of the Recording Academy, spoke to 'TMZ' about the song's prospects.

"I think the voting members of the academy appreciate greatness, appreciate what's hot [and] what's going on," Mason said. "That's a relevant record. It's impacting on so many levels with so much creativity and talent. I like to believe that the Academy members recognize that. They do, appropriately."
