Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White have spoken about the SydCarmy romantic ship their fans are looking forward to in their show's third season.

In the second season of "The Bear," "there's a strange energy between Sydney (Edebiri) and Carmy (White)" that may explain why the latter's sous chef turned down Marcus when he asked her out, according to Screen Rant.

Fans of the show think so, too. In fact, some are speculating whether SydCarmy will end up making out or falling in love in the third season of the series.

"SydCarmy nation never loses. Mark my words. Get ready for Season 3. It's coming. They will be mine," tweeted one fan.

"Oh. SydCarmy is actually happening in Season 3. The soft launch has begun," the same X user said in a different tweet.

"'The Bear' Season 3 trailer is literally just everything a SydCarmy author on AO3 has covered already," quipped someone else.

But will they really end up falling in love as some fans expect? The actor who plays the role of Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto has shared his thoughts about this.

"It's crazy. It's something that has happened entirely separate from the show that we're making," the 33-year-old actor told Eater in a press junket for their show's upcoming season.

"Carmy and Sydney being romantically involved was not something we had discussed whatsoever. It feels like there's a show happening outside of the show that we're making. Maybe we're just programmed from the TV and film that we've been watching for so long. If there's a guy and a girl in a story, they're gonna end up together."

Edebiri added, "People like to see people kiss on TV. But also, the show is about many things, and one of those things is passion."

"And I think when you see people being passionate about their work, it's maybe one of those things where the wires are getting crossed in your brain a little bit. You see passion and think maybe, whoa [gestures romantically]. Yeah."

The co-stars also said the same thing in a recent interview with Vanity Fair titled "The Bear Season 3 Won't Serve Up a Carmy and Sydney Romance."

When asked whether a romance could be brewing between their characters in Christopher Storer's comedy-drama TV series, they both answered, "No."

"There was no talk in the rooms about any romantic implications [between Carmy and Sydney]," added White.

"The Bear" Season 3 premieres on Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET or 6 p.m. PT on Hulu and Disney+. It will have 10 episodes like Season 2.
