Trump Mocks Biden: ‘I Really Don’t Know What He Said At The End Of That Sentence’
Former President Trump criticized President Biden for appearing to fumble his words during a response in Thursday's debate.
"I really don't know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don't think he knows what he said either," Trump remarked at the start of his rebuttal to Biden's statements.
CNN's Jake Tapper questioned Biden on why Americans should "trust" him to manage the border crisis, highlighting the unprecedented number of migrants entering the U.S. under his administration. Biden referred to the bipartisan border security agreement that was obstructed by Republicans and his recent executive order that curbs the number of migrants once a certain limit is reached.
Biden seemed to misstate something before finishing his answer.
"I'm going to continue to move until we get to total ban - on the total initiative relative to what we're going to do with more border patrol and more asylum officers," Biden stated before Trump criticized him.
Earlier in the debate, Biden seemed to lose his train of thought while discussing Medicare.

Biden and Trump are facing off in the first presidential debate of the 2024 election cycle on Thursday night. The stakes are significant for both candidates as they present their cases to the voters in what is expected to be another tightly contested election.
At 81 and 78 years old respectively, Biden and Trump are the oldest major party candidates to compete against each other. Despite Trump being only a few years younger, polls indicate that voters are more worried about Biden's age and cognitive abilities.
