King Charles plans to visit Prince Harry in the United States to meet his grandkids, but his wife, Queen Camilla, and eldest child, Prince William, are not on board with the plan, according to a source.

His Majesty wants to be a present grandfather to all of his grandchildren. He hasn't spent as much time with Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, because they live in California. Prince Harry is reportedly open to his father's visit, but his stepmom and brother are not.

"He will be open to hosting his father," a California-based source told New Idea. "He's relieved Charles seems to want to make the effort."

The outlet noted that the people surrounding the British monarch don't like the idea of him flying to Los Angeles to visit the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Camilla is concerned about his health, while Prince William allegedly "can't understand" why their dad has to do it.

"William can't understand why Charles would be going out on a limb like this," the insider continued. "Camilla is against the trip more for health reasons. The Australia tour in October is going to be a lot for a man of his age with cancer, let alone an emotional transatlantic journey to visit his estranged son."

Royal biographer and expert Tom Quinn previously told the Mirror that the British monarch planned to meet Prince Harry in the U.S. amid reports that his tour to Australia and Samoa would be scaled back.

"Charles has had discussions about an official visit to the United States at some time in the future, and there is no doubt if it goes ahead, he would build in time to visit his youngest son and his grandchildren, but there are mountains of planning to be overcome before that becomes even a remote possibility," Quinn claimed.

"King Charles has privately visited many other countries -- he made an unpublicised visit to Transylvania for example to check up on his rental properties -- so it's certainly possible that he would make a discreet private visit to Harry and the children in California. He is desperate to see them and hates the idea that Archie and Lily will not remember him as the warm, friendly grandfather he wants to be."

Prince William and Queen Camilla are reportedly at odds with the Duke of Sussex for different reasons.

Michael Cole, a former royal reporter, appeared on GB News and said he didn't think "there's any chance" of reconciliation between the Prince of Wales and Duke of Sussex in the "foreseeable future." The heir apparent could reportedly not forgive his younger brother for attacking his wife, Kate Middleton, in his book "Spare."

Meanwhile, Prince Harry's statement about his stepmom taking his dad away from them had resurfaced. He called Camilla "villain," "dangerous" and the "third person" in his parents' marriage in his memoir.

British journalist and author Petronella Wyatt also claimed that "hostilities flared up" between Camilla and Prince Harry when the latter visited his dad earlier this year after learning about his cancer diagnosis. Meghan Markle's husband allegedly "launched an unprovoked volley in the direction of a 75-year-old woman" as he "preferred not to be in the same room with his stepmother."
