Kevin Hart’s Ex-Wife Torrei Hart Won't Marry Actor If She Had A Do-Over: 'I Wasn’t Ready'
Kevin Hart's ex-wife, Torrei Hart, has expressed regret about marrying at a young age.
In a past interview with "The Culture Club Uncensored" recently reposted by Atlanta Black Star, the mom of two admitted to the hosts, Osei the Dark Secret and Claudia Jordan, that she realized she married too young.
She said that since her parents married at a young age and had been together for a long time, she thought she had to be like them. But it was a different case for her.
"My parents, they got married young. They've been married 50-something years. They're still married, so in my mind, I was like, 'Ohh, that's me. I got to be like them,'" she revealed in the 2021 interview.
"You know, that's what I see. But I wasn't ready to be married."
When Osei asked her at the time if she would do it again, she responded, "I don't know. I've been proposed to twice."
"I got married young so I feel like I was robbed of my 20s so I'm kind of living my life reversed. I'm doing a lot of things now that I wish I would have done when I was younger 'cause I sacrificed for my ex-husband then I had kids."
"I sacrificed for my kids so now is my time. I just don't see myself getting married anytime soon. That's real," she continued.
Kevin and Torrei first met in 2001 when they were both attending a community college in Philadelphia. Because they had the same passion for comedy, their connection grew and they became college sweethearts.
After eight months of being together, the pair got engaged. In 2003, they tied the knot in a private ceremony, and two years later, in 2005, they welcomed their first child -- Heaven Leigh Hart.
Three years later, their son, Hendrix Hart, was born.
Unfortunately, their love story came to an end in February 2010 as they separated and headed for divorce.
The video interview was reposted as the "Ride Along" star celebrated his 45th birthday in Mykonos, Greece, with his present wife, Eniko Hart.
"Happy birthday hubby! I love you more every day! Another beautiful day in celebration of you and we're still going! 7.6," Eniko wrote in her tribute post, which included photos and videos of her husband's birthday getaway.
