MrBeast Wants To Run For US President, Will Ditch YouTube If He Wins
MrBeast for president? The YouTuber claims he would join the presidential race now if the age limit for candidates were lowered.
Amid the increasing calls for President Joe Biden to step aside in the 2024 race and be replaced with a younger candidate, MrBeast -- born James Stephen "Jimmy" Donaldson -- expressed interest in potentially launching a White House bid.
"If we lower the age to run for president I'll jump in the race," the content creator wrote on X, formerly Twitter, Saturday.
MrBeast is 26, which means he's nine years away from being eligible to run for president -- which requires being at least 35 years old.

Despite this, it appeared that many approved of MrBeast's idea as his post received nearly 550,000 likes and numerous positive comments.
If he does join the presidential race someday and win, MrBeast -- who has the most-subscribed YouTube channel with nearly 300 million subscribers -- said he'll stop creating and uploading content.
When asked by a follower if he would "still make YouTube videos if [he] were president," MrBeast responded, "I'd probably focus on running the largest economy on earth."
MrBeast's declaration has since divided X users. Some encouraged him to run and said they believe he would win against Biden and Donald Trump.
"Go for it!" one person commented on his post, while another wrote, "You would be better than Biden [and] Trump for all we know."
"The funniest part about this is that you'd likely win," a third commenter claimed, while another joked that the social media personality would go "from MrBeast to MrPresident."
"Man, if there ever was a time you might win, this would be it," another suggested.
However, others were skeptical of his chances or did not believe he would make a good president.
"No thanks," one X user responded to MrBeast's tweet.
Another person told the content creator, "You should sit this one out."
"Why would you make a good president? You're just a YouTuber," a third user claimed.
CNN reported that several Democratic leaders have called for Biden to drop out of the 2024 race since the president's disastrous debate performance against Trump last month.
But during an ABC News interview Friday, Biden said he believes his allies are "not going to" urge him to withdraw.
He also denied claims that his poor performance was due to a "serious condition" and instead chalked it up to "a bad episode."
