Kate Middleton Could Make A Public Appearance This Week; '50/50 Chance' Says Royal Expert
Kate Middleton could "surprise" royal fans with another public appearance this week if she's feeling well enough amid her ongoing cancer battle, a royal expert has suggested.
During an interview on GBN America, royal commentator Lady Victoria Hervey discussed the possibility of Middleton appearing at the Wimbledon 2024 finals Sunday.
An avid tennis player and fan, the Princess of Wales has missed Wimbledon only once since joining the royal family in 2011. She couldn't attend the 2013 matches as she was about to give birth to her and Prince William's eldest child, Prince George.
However, this year, Middleton has not yet attended a match at Wimbledon as she continues to undergo treatment for cancer.

Hervey told host Nana Akua that she thinks there's a "50/50 chance" of Middleton showing up at the Wimbledon finals.
The socialite and aristocrat noted that Middleton's Trooping the Colour attendance was not confirmed until the day before the event.
Based on this, Hervey suggested that Princess Kate's appearance at the Wimbledon finals may depend on how well she's feeling the day before.
"Trooping the Colour was very last minute, that she would appear," the royal expert said. "I think it's just how she feels that day or the night before. She quite possibly could surprise us by giving out the awards."
"Tennis was her thing, and I am sure she has been watching it at home. It would be great to see her there," Hervey added.
Middleton, who is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, traditionally hands out trophies to the Wimbledon champions. She awarded trophies to last year's winners Carlos Alcaraz and Markéta Vondroušová.
The club has not yet announced who will present the prizes at this year's finals.
Late last month, the Wimbledon organizers said they were "hopeful" that the Princess of Wales would be able to continue the tradition this year.
All England Club chair Debbie Jevans said in a statement to Telegraph Sport that they will give the royal "as much flexibility as possible" amid her cancer treatment.
"We're hopeful that the Princess of Wales will be able to present the trophies as the Club's patron, but her health and recovery is the priority," Jevans said. "We don't know what we don't know. All we've said is that we'll work with her and give her as much flexibility as possible."
However, on Monday, The Telegraph reported that Birgitte, the Duchess of Gloucester may distribute trophies in Middleton's stead if she's unable to attend.
The Duchess of Gloucester is the wife of Queen Elizabeth's first cousin Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, and a longtime honorary president of the Lawn Tennis Association.
