Meagan Good Admits 'Every Friend' Told Her Not To Date Jonathan Majors: 'I Have Peace In My Heart'
During an appearance on 'Today With Hoda and Jenna,' Meagan Good, star of Tyler Perry's 'Divorce in the Black,' shared that her friends expressed concerns about her relationship with Jonathan Majors.
Despite the counsel of close friends, Good openly shared her commitment to support Majors, 34, unconditionally during the Tuesday interview.
Host Hoda Kotb raised the topic of Majors' legal issues, relating to his conviction for assault and harassment involving his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, when Good acknowledged that her friends had reservations about their relationship.
"One thing I know is that I can always look in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God, when I ask God, and when I move to the beat of my own drum... I can always look and say, 'Okay, I'm proud of that.' No matter whatever happens, I have peace in my heart and have harmony in my heart," Good, 42, said.

"I take everyone I love's opinion into account, but at the end of the day, I'm the one who has to have to live my life," she added. "I want to be responsible for the choices I make and want to live the life that I want to live."
She continued: "I'm the one who has to get to Heaven one day, prayerfully, and give God an account of what I did. So, I want to be responsible for the choices that I make. I also want to live the life that I want to live."
Good also boasted of their romance.
"The support we've been able to give to each other, the pouring into each other, the honest conversations, the love, the respect, just the care, and the thoughtfulness, it's been really wonderful," Good said.
The actress was married to Devon Franklin for nearly a decade when they married in June 2012. Franklin, 46, filed for divorce in 2021 citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their breakup.
