Jennifer Garner only supports Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's reconciliation for her ex-husband's sake, according to a source.

Garner, 52, and Affleck, 51, have remained amicable following their divorce in 2018 as they co-parent their three children -- Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12. Although Garner has been supportive of Affleck's second chance with JLo, the "Alias" actress is reportedly relieved amid the rumored marital strife involving the couple because she no longer needs to deal with the annoying presence of the "Let's Get Loud" singer.

Garner is "secretly relieved that this is coming to an end as she won't have to keep up the ridiculous façade and make excuses to tell Ben about why she doesn't want to go on holiday with them," an unnamed source told Life & Style.

"The one sticking point is that her kids bonded with J. Lo's kids and she'd never try and come between that. But as far as her relationship with J. Lo, that's done and she totally agrees it's for the best."

Garner and Lopez have been seen multiple times after the latter married the former's ex-husband. They decided to co-parent for their blended family. Lopez even praised Garner in her interview with Vogue in 2022 for being an "amazing co-parent." According to the "Marry Me" actress, Garner and Affleck "work really well together."

However, the tipster claimed that Garner was just being polite around Lopez. The two women were reportedly very different.

"Jen was extremely tolerant and always found a way to bite her tongue and be cordial to J. Lo whenever they were in the same room," the source claimed. "But truth be told they're like oil and water, you couldn't find two people more different."

Also, the "13 Going on 30" star allegedly didn't think her ex-husband and Lopez were a "good match." Even if Garner didn't say it, she reportedly saw their marriage not lasting.

"Like most people, she knew it was only going to end in tears, it was just a matter of when and how," the insider said of Garner. "She's trying to be diplomatic about it, she doesn't want anyone, least of all the kids, to be aware that there's any lingering bad blood between her and J. Lo."

Another anonymous insider spoke with OK! magazine and made the same statement. Garner allegedly had her "doubts" that the Bennifer reunion "would work out." She was also reportedly "surprised" at how Affleck, who wanted to be out of the spotlight, changed after he married Lopez. However, she reportedly has no choice but to help her husband for the sake of their children.

"The last thing in the world Jen wants to do is pick up the pieces of Ben and J. Lo's broken relationship, but she has no choice. That's why she's spending so much time with Ben ... he's close to his breaking point," the source claimed.
