Naomi Campbell Fights Passengers Attempting To Film Her Sleeping During A Flight In Resurfaced Clip
Naomi Campbell's alleged history of losing her temper is being reexamined nearly twenty years after a tumultuous incident on a flight.
A video from 1998 captured Campbell exchanging harsh words with a seated female passenger. At one moment, she appears trying to grab a phone from the woman's hands.
Further footage depicted Campbell pulling on a black cord held by a white male, resulting in a brief tug-of-war before the clip concluded.
On Sunday, an Instagram user posted the video with the text, "Naomi Campbell going feral at plane passengers for taking a picture of her asleep."
The caption claimed the supermodel was "banned from flying with British Airways lol."
The clip was from the 1998 documentary "Fashion Kingdom: Naomi Campbell in South Africa." The doc covered the 54-year-old's visit to South Africa to support Nelson Mandela's charity fashion show, which honored the life of her friend Gianni Versace who was assassinated the previous year.
In the post's comments, many users remarked that the video reminded them of Campbell's reported history of unrestrained anger. One commenter wrote, "Have the people not heard about Naomi?! She never been the one to play with." Another added, "She is defending herself. No one has the right to take photos of you while you are unconscious."
In March 2006, Campbell threw a mobile phone at her housekeeper, Ana Scolavino, over a pair of jeans.
'Reuters' reported she was sentenced to five days of community service. Campbell, who plead guilty to second-degree assault, was also fined $363 and ordered to attend anger management classes.
