Wendy Williams' family does not know her current condition as they remain unable to contact her directly.

Williams celebrated her milestone 60th birthday Thursday as she remains under court-ordered guardianship amid her battle with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

Her family, including her son Kevin Hunter Jr., apparently could not send her their birthday greetings directly because they've been "denied contact" with the former TV host.

"Wendy Williams' family is unable to speak on her current condition and location due to ongoing litigation and the fact that they have largely been denied contact," an unnamed source with "knowledge of the situation" told People.

But the insider shared that Williams' family members "are all rooting and praying for Wendy and want to express their well wishes as she celebrates her 60th birthday."

"She was, is and always will be an icon," the source added.

Williams' legal and financial guardian Sabrina Morrissey has not publicly addressed the claims.

In 2022, Williams was assigned a legal guardian after Wells Fargo froze her accounts, which came after her then-financial adviser claimed that she was of "unsound mind."

Williams entered an undisclosed facility last year to address "cognitive issues" and was living there as recently as February. It is unclear if she has left the facility.

Williams' family said her guardian has made it so they can only speak to her if she reaches out to them first.

When Williams does call, her phone number reportedly appears as "blocked" to prevent her relatives from directly contacting her.

In February, Williams' sister Wanda Finnie and niece Alex Finnie said the former television personality seemed to be doing much better both physically and mentally when they last spoke to her.

"I spoke with her yesterday and I speak with her very regularly when she reaches out to me. She is, from what I understand, in a wellness, healing type of environment," Wanda told People.

She added that Williams was in "a healing place emotionally" and far from the person shown in the controversial Lifetime documentary, "Where Is Wendy Williams?"

Alex agreed that her aunt sounded "really great" during their recent conversations.

"To hear my aunt now in terms of just how clear she is, just how focused she is on the importance of family and the reality in terms of facing and understanding where she's at physically and mentally and emotionally, it is like a 180," she told the outlet.

Williams' guardian is currently embroiled in a legal battle with Lifetime parent company A&E over its docuseries.

Morrissey alleged that the film "shamelessly exploits [Williams] and portrays her in an extremely demeaning and undignified manner," according to her lawsuit.

However, its executive producer claimed that Williams, her management, lawyers, and guardian all agreed to the filming of the documentary.
