Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Doesn't Think Being Rich Nepo Baby Is 'Very Cool'; Wants To Be 'Normal': Report
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is not materialistic, and she wants to make her own name despite her parents' popularity.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's eldest biological child, Shiloh, turned 18 in May. An unnamed source told Life & Style that she wants to earn her own money and "has never wanted for a thing." Shiloh allegedly wants to forge her own path and make it big in New York City after graduation.
"Brad and Angelina's kids are very humble about their origins. They want to make their own cash," the source continued. "Shiloh has no concept of what it's really like to struggle, but she doesn't think it's very cool to be some rich nepo baby."
Shiloh's first baby photo made millions. People magazine reportedly paid $4 million for it in 2006. All the profits were distributed to a charity. People paid another $14 million for the baby pics of her twin siblings, Vivienne and Knox, in 2008.
Pitt and Jolie reportedly put the money they made from Vivienne and Knox's photos in trusts for their kids, and a portion of the money was sent to charity. Shiloh, who filed to drop her dad's surname in her legal name, is reportedly not on the "best terms" with her father, but Pitt organized a trust fund for her.
"The irony is that she couldn't be less materialistic," the source continued. "Shiloh has a good head on her shoulders and doesn't have much interest in flaunting her wealth. It's quite something because she could easily be a Hollywood It Girl, but instead, she just wants to be normal."
Lil Kelaan Carter, Shiloh's longtime choreographer, shared some details about her to mark her 18th birthday. The professional dancer said she never used her connections to her advantage; he wasn't even aware of who she was when Shiloh joined his class.
"Shiloh is an exceptionally talented dancer, demonstrating dedication and hard work," Carter told the Daily Mail. "She is a sincere and straightforward person who never uses her celebrity status to her advantage."
He added that Shiloh wasn't a "nepo baby" because she was determined to achieve her goals without using her family background.
"Shi does not rely on her famous name to achieve her goals. Honestly, I didn't even know who she was at first, and I don't think this matters, especially in a dance studio. I understand that it can be difficult to see the person beyond her celebrity status, but I urge you to make an effort for her. Believe me, it is worth it."
