A Dubai princess seemingly invoked the controversial practice of triple divorce as she announced that she is parting ways with her husband.

On Wednesday, Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum -- the daughter of Dubai's ruler -- posted a statement on her verified Instagram account saying that she was divorcing her husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.

The 30-year-old royal also seemingly accused her husband of cheating on her.

"Dear Husband," the statement began. "As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I Divorce You."

"Take care. Your ex-wife," she concluded the statement.

Sheikha Mahra, 30, appeared to be referencing the Islamic practice of triple divorce or "triple talaq."

This method allows a Muslim man to end his marriage with his wife by saying "talaq," the Arabic word for divorce, three times consecutively, according to CNN. It does not require the wife's consent and is typically only used by men.

The controversial practice has been banned in some countries, including India.

Sheikha Mahra's husband Sheikh Mana, who is also a member of the Dubai ruling family, has not released a statement in response to her post as of this writing.

Her father, United Arab Emirates Prime Minister and Dubai ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, also has not publicly addressed his daughter's announcement.

Sheikha Mahra appeared to have wiped all photos featuring her husband from her Instagram account, according to CNN.

Sheikh Mana's page also no longer has any images of his wife.

The Dubai princess' post came just a year after she and Sheikh Mana tied the knot in a lavish ceremony and two months after they welcomed a daughter.

According to The Neighborhood Talk, some social media users speculated in the comments section of Sheikha Mahra's post that her account may have been hacked. However, there is no evidence supporting this claim at this time.

The royal also received numerous messages of support from social media users.

"Setting up the example to stand for right," model Adnan Zafar commented on her post. "More power to you."

"I find it empowering when a woman recognizes her worth and confidently stands her ground," one follower wrote.

"Every woman that's finally figured out her worth, has picked up her suitcases of pride and boarded a flight to freedom, which landed in the valley of change," another comment read. "You deserve to be happy."

A fourth person declared, "The world stands with you."
