Pop Smoke's Mom Says Son's Released Killer's 'Life Is Finished' After 'Disrespectful' Interviews
Pop Smoke's mother spoke out about one of her son's convicted killers giving interviews after being released from jail.
On Wednesday, Pop Smoke's mother, Audrey Jackson, appeared on the "Tap in With TT" podcast to discuss her son's legacy. During the interview, she was asked about King Vermont Raskel, one of Pop Smoke's convicted killers, who recently gave an interview discussing the experience of murdering her son.
"I'm not tuned in to that," Jackson stated at the 18:00 mark of the interview. "I'm not tuned in to that."
"I've been told that he's been interviewing and being disrespectful, and I gotta let that go because that'll eat me up," she continued. "Because the bottom line is your life is over. His life is finished. He's living, but if that's his approach to what he's done, life is done for him."

Pop Smoke, real name Bashar Barakah Jackson, was fatally shot during a home invasion at a rented mansion in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, on February 19, 2020. He was 20 years old.
In July of that year, five individuals, including two minors, were arrested in connection with his murder.
The interview follows a June report by 'Rolling Stone' that Corey Walker, another suspect in the "Dior" rapper's death, will receive a new trial date after plea deal negotiations failed. Jury selection was initially scheduled to begin later that month, but if no plea deal is reached, it will now start on August 6.
