Donald, Melania Trump Pack On PDA At RNC; Ex-POTUS Allegedly Snubs Daughter Tiffany
Donald Trump's interactions with his family members at the Republican National Convention (RNC) were caught on camera, including his public display of affection with his wife, Melania Trump.
The former first couple put on a united front on Thursday by attending the RNC together. Trump's family members, including his children Ivanka, Tiffany, Eric and Donald Trump Jr. were all present to witness him formally accept the Republican nomination for president. Barron, 18, was the only one missing among his five kids.
According to the BBC, after Trump accepted the nomination, he talked about the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania and after delivering his speech, Melania joined him on stage. In the video obtained by the outlet, he appeared surprised when Melania approached him but quickly regained his composure and kissed her on the cheek.
They held hands and walked to the center of the stage before they were joined by the other members of the family. Shortly after, white and red balloons dropped from the ceiling as the crowd clapped and cheered.
However, some claimed the sweet interaction between Trump and Melania was a "super awkward moment" because she allegedly "completely dodged" his kiss. Others argued that it wasn't what they were seeing.
"When does she dodge the kiss? I don't see it," one asked.
Another added, "She kissed him. Were they supposed to make out on stage?"

Aside from the sweet interaction between Melania and Trump, another clip made the rounds online and raised eyebrows.
The footage showed Trump's youngest daughter, Tiffany, with a big smile as she approached him. However, Trump appeared to ignore her, so she just tapped him and tried to kiss her dad, but there was barely any contact between the father and daughter. The clip sparked discussions on social media, with some wondering why Trump treated Tiffany that way.
"How do you treat your own daughter like this? He hates one and wants to bang the other. Trump is disgusting!" one commented.
"What does he have against her? Obviously, he can't stand her. Or maybe he didn't recognize her," another said, giving Trump the benefit of the doubt.
"Not the favorite," a third person opined.
A fourth user remarked, "Ouch, yikes. Felt it for Tiffany."
However, the awkward video doesn't necessarily reflect Trump and Tiffany's relationship. In 2019, Trump fired his personal assistant Madeleine Westerhout, who bragged he had a closer relationship with her than his two daughters, Tiffany and Ivanka.
Trump told reporters the comments about his children were "a little bit hurtful." The ex-POTUS also disputed claims he would disparage Tiffany.
"I love Tiffany," Trump said, per Politico.
Tiffany also expressed how grateful and relieved she was that her dad survived the shooting last week. She even called Trump a "fighter."
"The outpouring of love and support for my dad is deeply appreciated. Thank you God for keeping my father alive," Tiffany wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "Political violence is never the answer. God bless the secret service and law enforcement who fearlessly intervened. Please include the families of the victims in your prayers. As you saw today, my father is a fighter and he will continue to fight for you and the USA."
