Angela Simmons Reveals Whether Yo Gotti Is 'The One' In "Breakfast Club' Interview
Angela Simmons is contemplating a future with Yo Gotti.
Last Friday, Simmons appeared on 'The Breakfast Club' where she discussed her relationship with the 43-year-old rapper.
Simmons, 36, initially talked about her southern accent with hosts DJ Envy, Charlamagne, and Jess Hilarious, attributing the influence to Yo Gotti, who hails from Memphis. She first shared their relationship on Instagram celebrating New Year's 2023.
When Charlamagne inquired if Yo Gotti, real name Mario Mims, might be "the one," Simmons responded promptly.
"Yeah, for sure," the business woman replied.
Regarding the possibility of marrying Yo Gotti, who famously expressed his admiration for Simmons in his 2016 song "Down in the DMs," Simmons stated that she is "definitely" interested in tying the knot with him.
"I'm too old to be playing games, I'm in it," she continued. "That's me, I'm grown, that's what I do."
Simmons also discussed the backlash she received for wearing a gun-shaped purse on the 2024 BET Awards' red carpet. She explained that she takes gun violence seriously, especially since her ex-fiancé and the father of her son, Sutton Tennyson, was killed in a shooting in 2018. Simmons issued an apology after the accessory caused offense.
Charlamagne, 46, also inquired if her relationship with the Memphis native played a role in her choice of the controversial purse.
"No, I literally just like the purse. I thought the purse was cool and different," she answered. "For me, I don't want to do what everyone else is doing. I just do what I like to do. I thought that it matched the dress, and it was different than a classic clutch."
