Funny Marco Reveals Why He Distanced Himself From Bobbi Althoff And Cancelled Their Tour
Funny Marco announced that his ambitious plans with Bobbi Althoff have fallen apart, blaming differences in creative vision, particularly regarding what constitutes humor on different platforms.
The pair intended to heat up the summer with their tour 'Open Thoughts Vs. The Really Good Podcast,' but Marco confirmed its cancellation in a YouTube video shared Wednesday, stating that Bobbi declined to adapt her dry humor for live performances.
Marco, real name Marco Summers, mentioned that he advised Bobbi to liven up her performance and possibly include some dancing, as ticket holders would anticipate a more dynamic show from them. However, he claims that his suggestions were ignored.
"I love Bobbi to death, Bobbi is a good person," Funny Marco said. "... when I'm on [a] stand-up tour, and I'm selling out these tours, and then me and Bobbi being able to come together and people are paying their money to come see us, I really want that to get better. I don't want it to be the same."
He went on to explain how "her comedy was different from what she wanted to bring to the show, which I can respect. What I'm saying there's not nothing about me getting mad, I'm not saying you doing nothing wrong, I just don't agree with it. Same way she probably don't agree with what I do."
Marco also shared that Bobbi, who called the podcaster her "best friend" in a May TikTok, reportedly preferred a minimalist approach on stage, opting to remain quiet and go with the flow. As a result, the YouTuber felt compelled to cancel the tour and perform solo.
While the 30-year-old doesn't criticize her stage presence and style, he believes it might not suit live audiences and could be detrimental in that setting.
Bobbi, 26, was recently seen hanging out with NLE Choppa, YG, and NFL player Sean Murphy-Bunting.
