Trump Offered Biden $1 Million To Play Golf: 'He Turned Me Down'
Donald Trump claims President Joe Biden rejected his offer of $1 million to face him in a golf game.
Earlier this month, the former president and current Republican presidential nominee publicly challenged Biden to a golf match at his Doral course in Florida while speaking to supporters at a rally.
At the time, Trump declared that he would donate $1 million to a charity of Biden's choice if the president won against him.
On Saturday, two weeks after that initial announcement, Trump seemingly gave an update and claimed that Biden turned his offer down.
"I said I will take you to any course you want...I would give you $1 million if you could break 100 in a game of golf," Trump told the crowd at his rally in St. Cloud, Minnesota. "He turned me down."
Trump then taunted Biden over his alleged rejection of the offer.
"Then I said, I'll give you 10 strokes a side...I'll give you $1 million if you could beat me. He had no chance," Trump claimed. "They talk a good game, but it's all talk."

During his July 9 rally, Trump claimed that a golf match between him and Biden would be "among the most-watched sporting events in history" and "maybe bigger than the Ryder Cup or even the Masters."
"I will even give Joe Biden 10 strokes a side. Ten strokes, that's a lot. That means 20 strokes, in case you don't play golf. And if he wins, I will give the charity of his choice, any charity of his choice, $1 million. And I'll bet you he doesn't take the offer," he added.
At the time, Biden's spokesperson, James Singer, responded to Trump's challenge via a statement obtained by Fox News Digital.
"Joe Biden doesn't have time for Donald Trump's weird antics -- he's busy leading America and defending the free world. Donald Trump is a liar, a convict, and a fraud only out for himself -- par for the course," Singer said.
Trump and Biden's golf feud stemmed from their June 27 presidential debate, where the former president boasted about his golf skills and criticized his then-Democratic opponent's "swing."
"I'm in very good health," Trump said after moderator Dana Bash asked about their physical and mental fitness for the office. "I just won two club championships, not even senior, two regular club championships. To do that, you have to be quite smart and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way. And I do it."
Trump went on to claim of Biden, "He doesn't do it. He can't hit a ball 50 yards. He challenged me to a golf match. He can't hit a ball 50 yards."
Biden immediately fired back by saying he would "be happy to have a driving contest with" Trump.
"I got my handicap, which, when I was vice president, down to a 6," Biden boasted. "And by the way, I told you before I'm happy to play golf if you carry your own bag. Think you can do it?"
Trump then accused Biden of lying about his handicap.
Aside from the alleged golf match, Trump will not get the chance to face Biden in the 2024 presidential election either after the president announced on July 21 his decision to drop out of the race.
Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic nominee. The former senator and prosecutor has seen massive surges in donations and volunteers less than a week after launching her presidential campaign.
