Jennifer Aniston Doused In Oil While Filming 'The Morning Show' During Protest — See The Photos
While filming the fourth season of Apple TV+ hit series 'The Morning Show,' a cast member was photographed being doused with oil.
Jennifer Aniston, who stars as Alex Levy on the show, had a tar-like substance thrown on her while on set in New York City.
During what appeared to be a protest scene, the 55-year-old was entirely covered in a thick, black liquid. She seemed frustrated as the extras in the scene turned away from the incident.
Earlier this month, the 'Friends' alum announced that the show resumed production for season 4 with a charming photo featuring her alongside costars Reese Witherspoon and Tig Notaro, all dressed in matching denim. In the first photo, they held their name cards, while another image showed Aniston's script for the upcoming season.
"Let @themorningshow season 4 games begin. Here we come!" Aniston wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.
'The Morning Show' follows the lives of news anchors at the fictional network UBA, exploring both their personal and professional challenges. The series has been a hit on AppleTV+ since its debut in 2019.

Season 3 saw the introduction of Jon Hamm as Paul Marks, brought in to help UBA through financial struggles. Aniston's character Alex began a clandestine relationship with Paul, leaving viewers wondering how this might affect the network's future. The show often draws from real-world events, including the aftermath of the US Capitol's insurrection on January 6, 2021.
Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt mentioned to 'The Hollywood Reporter' that the repercussions from season 3 will be evident "in every sense and for every character" in the new season.
Stoudt said "If we asked the audience to go on that ride, then we have to honor that ride."
