Prince Harry Sends Kate Middleton A Heartfelt Note Following Her Wimbledon Appearance
Prince Harry was reportedly overjoyed to witness his sister-in-law, Princess Kate, make a rare public appearance at the Wimbledon men's final a few weeks ago.
Since the Sussexes stepped back from their royal duties, relations between them and William and Kate have been strained. The revelations about the family made by Harry, 39, and Meghan Markle in various interviews have apparently deepened the rift.
However, after Kate's appearance at Wimbledon amidst her ongoing cancer treatment, Prince Harry reportedly reached out with a message of encouragement.
A source shared with 'Heat' magazine, according to 'Marie Claire,' how "Harry was watching Wimbledon and was thrilled to see Kate looking so radiant. He sent her a note to congratulate her and let her know how happy he was to see her out. He's just so grateful that she's on the mend and able to get back to her duties after taking time off — as is Meghan."
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly keen to mend fences with Kate, 42, and William, 42, believing this is an opportune moment to rebuild their relationship.
"Even though it's an awkward situation for all of them, they both think the sooner they can put this all behind them, the better," the source claimed. "Harry can't believe it ever got to this point — he genuinely thought that by now they'd have found a way to reconcile and he hates to think of it continuing."
Harry and Meghan, 42, wished Kate a swift and complete recovery. "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace," the couple said in a statement.
Despite this, Harry is reportedly still unable to meet with any senior royal family members during his last UK visit in May. Although Kate has largely kept out of the public eye during her treatment, she made notable appearances at Trooping the Colour in June and the Wimbledon final.
