BBC Unveils 2024 'Celebrity Race Across The World' Line-Up
Four well-known personalities are about to embark on a thrilling 12,500 km journey across South America.
The BAFTA-winning show, 'Celebrity Race Across the World,' produced by Studio Lambert, is making a return with its eagerly awaited second season.
The new celebrity contenders include broadcaster Jeff Brazier with his son Freddy, actor Kola Bokinni alongside his cousin Mary Ellen, broadcaster Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy, and Radio 2 host Scott Mills with his fiancé Sam.
Their adventure kicks off in Belém, a city in Northern Brazil known as the entryway to the Amazon. They will navigate through five checkpoints along South America, culminating their race in Frutillar, Southern Chile, situated in the Andes. This season, participants will forgo luxury travel, smartphones, and bank cards, relying solely on their resourcefulness, problem-solving skills, and the assistance of strangers.
The show will once again feature the celebrities' closest family members, offering viewers an intimate look at these familiar figures through the eyes of their loved ones.
"Following the immense success of the first celebrity series and the recent fourth series of the standard show, we're excited to showcase the stunning South American landscape and push our celebrities and their loved ones to their limits," said Tim Harcourt, Chief Creative Officer at Studio Lambert.

The six-part series will be available on BBC One and iPlayer, produced by Studio Lambert under the All3Media group. Commissioned by Catherine Catton, the series' executive producers include Michael Jochnowitz and Jasmyn McGuile from the BBC, alongside Studio Lambert's Rob Fisher, Charlotte Woolley, Louise Bartmann, Emma Peach, Tim Harcourt, and production executive Sophie Beck.
The new series will air at 9pm on Wednesday, August 14, on BBC One and iPlayer.
