The timing of the video's popularity coincided with the release of 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' which has stirred considerable excitement among fans. Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, danced to "Bye Bye Bye" during the film's opening credits.

According to 'Complex,' the 2021 video was from when the singers collaborated for a Pride show to benefit The Trevor Project, a non-profit suicide prevention organization and advocacy group for LGBTQ+ youth.
